fish. Fall is truly the
North Platte Rivers hidden secret. After the summer crowds and warm
water, the trout are ready to fatten up for the winter months.
Starting in early September and ending in early November, the spawn
run browns are only too eager to help you enjoy a day of tight lines
and screaming reels. You literally have the stream to your self.
Blue Wing Olives, bigger nymphs and streamer/woolly bugger patterns
are the flies of choice. Lower water levels makes fall fishing
enjoyable. The trout are still congregated and fishermen can enjoy
both boat and wade fishing.Mountain Outfitters is the only permitted
outfitter for Blue Grouse. We also offer upland bird hunting over a
trained dog for pheasant and chukar along the North Platte River.
Hunting and fishing in the same day adds an extra element to your
outdoor experience. In the first two weeks of October, waterfowl can
also be enjoyed.
